Tiny homes come in all shapes, styles, and sizes, and in this instance, a treehouse is the way to go! The Carousel treehouse by Utopia Treehouses is a perfect place to spend a romantic weekend getaway or a girls weekend with friends. Nestled in trees with a view of water in the background, it’s an ideal destination.
From the second you step foot on the porch surrounding this tree house, you feel captured in a time that was forgotten. Whimsy and fun are there to greet you the second you walk through the door.
The hodge podge of colorful chairs, sofas, ottomans, pillows, and tables doesn’t fit any particular style. Only one common theme abounds in this house, and that is color and fun.
White curtains with blue flowers, pillows with colorful flowers and designs, and even a bit of animal print all combine to give you a welcoming place to spend a little time away from the outside world.
While you won’t be whipping up a ton of meals here, you still have a nice little hih table with barstyle chairs that follow the carnival pattern. Enjoy your favorite cup of coffee here, or even pop open a board game and challenge your partner to a rousing game of Scrabble or Monopoly.
It’s the little accents throughout the space that tie it all together. Circus or fair colors with bright reds, blue, pink, orange, and more flow throughout the space. A polka dot chair with pillow add comfort to a corner window space. You even have stained glass everywhere that adds even more unique style to the space.
If there for a romantic weekend, you even will find a book of poetry to read to your loved one. Notice how this sits on a table designed for playing chess or checkers.
The designers make the space pop with color everywhere. One wall features a abandana rustic themed layout of stars and crosses that is beautiful and unique.
Head into the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable bed with pillows and bedding that match the theme. You’ll even find what looks like part of a real carousel above the bed with flowers and colors that match the theme throughout the home.
You can see that the bedroom is small, but comfortable. Windows all around add plenty of natural light to this space. Warm rugs on the floor keep your feet warm. A bench with pillows allows for comfy seating. And of course, you’ll notice the heat and air unit on the wall makes it easy to control the temperature no matter what time of year you visit this treehouse.
Another view shows how you have tons of the colorful stained glass lamps all around the space. Even when it is dark outside, you have light to read a book or play a game.
The animals you would typiclly find on a carousel are showcased in unusual but functional places. This lion is part of a light fixture that is so much fun!
The bathroom is also a fun place full of style. Ornate mirrors, lamps, industrial styled lights, and a unique bowl style sink are all great additions to the room.
You can see how large and comfortable this space is for a spa-like experience with a tile lined shower. There are even tons of beautiful stained glass accents including this stunning window.
I love the detail in the painted tile shower. Such a unique look that is beautiful and functional.
In the living space, you find another animal from a traditional carousel. This horse is part of a light fixture and is a stunning ornate fixture in the space.
Of course, the whimsy and comfort isn’t just inside the tree house. The large wrap around porches also lend themselves to the theme.
A few added comfortable outdoor chairs and benches make it easy to lounge and relax in the sun. Additional pillows, a variety of plants, and even a wire birdcage all blend into this look with ease.
Whether you are planning a weekend to chill and disconnect from the outside world, or you are looking for a place to rekindle romance, the Utopia Treehouses are ideal. This Carousel is my favorite, but there are tons to choose from on their site.
