If the idea of a beach life appeals to you, then this Mexican Riviera home is all you need! A simple off grid home only 5 minutes from the beach, this open air space is the ultimate in vacation homes, or your dream beach retirement home.

Straight through the front door of this jungle retreat you find a cozy space that is perfect for relaxation and entertaining. The footprint of the enclosed spaces is small, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t large and comfortable!
Colorful accents are everywhere you look with stark black and white tile and walls pulling the home together.
A kitchen space may seem tiny, but it includes the standard sized refrigerator, small 4-burner stove with oven, and a cute little island space for dining if desired.
There is more than enough room here for storage in open and closed shelves for your favorite foods, and of course, a few bottles of wine. You’ll love how handy everything is, and since there is so much additional space outside, the small area here won’t seem as confining when entertaining.
Down the hall is the bathroom. A tiny spot with sink, shower, and toilet, it’s just enough for your needs without taking up too much extra room in this space.
These pictures are blurry, but they give you an idea of what you would see in the space.
Tile used in the bathroom gives this a luxury feeling, and added windows bring in tons of daylight for those morning makeup routines, or just because!
At the end of the home and hall, is the small but cozy bedroom. There is plenty of room for a queen sized bed with tables on each side for storage. Bright orange is a theme throughout this home, and while the windows are easy to open for ventilation, a sheer curtain is there to add a bit more privacy.
On one side of the bedroom you’ll notice an open closet area. You can cover this with a curtain if wanted, but the racks and rod are perfect for keeping your items organized whether you live there are use it as a vacation spot.
There is not a traditional door on this space, but you can definitely add one or even pull across a curtain here as well.
Outside the main home is a large open air porch. This space is enclosed with bars but has a wonderful open porch feeling. The space is designed for tons of fresh air and sunshine will keeping the animals out of your space.
I love the addition of the table and chairs as well as the hammocks in this area. It’s perfect for creating a nice afternoon reading nook, complete with ceiling fan for more air circulation.
From the outside looking into this space, you’ll notice the stairs going up the side of the home. This little addition leads to another great nook on the home. A second level porch with roof for relaxation!
On top of the home is a simple roof with awning overhead for a cozy little space you can relax and view the sunrise, sunset, or just enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a jungle view.
This simple walkway is fairly open, but the rails on the sides make it safe and comfortable to move about on with ease. The addition of the awning overhead keeps you safe from direct sunlight while still adding some light in for a bit of an extra warmth on your day.
As you can see from this angle, this home is actually a converted storage container. Another brilliant use for what might otherwise be thrown away as garbage! With simplicity, this home is a truly stunning oasis minutes from the beach.
