Lately, I have seen a ton of great tiny home rentals and vacation homes in or around Waco, Texas. This home named, The Farmhouse, is a perfect destination not far from the popular tourist destination, Magnolia Farms, store, and bakery. If your next weekend getaway has Texas as a destination, you will adore this cute little studio home. With large French doors that open to the patio and a unique rooftop deck, it’s a great choice for a comfortable vacation.

One of my favorite things about this unit is that the style is truly a great look at the popular modern farmhouse made famous by Chip and Joanna Gaines. As soon as you enter the space you are greeted with shiplap walls, barn doors, and wooden accents.
Just inside the doors are a sofa on one wall and a set of storage bins opposite below the television. You’ll notice the wood slates on the wall above the storage is actually both decor and wall-mounted television.
You may not have noticed it before, but there is a unique cabinet just behind the sofa. This doubles as a bed I’ll show you a bit later.
Just past the living space is the kitchenette with a table that is mounted on one wall and a counter including refrigerator and sink on the other. Past this is a nice luxury bathroom that is comfortable and ideal for a weekend getaway.
This kitchenette doesn’t have a cooktop or oven, but it does have a dorm-sized refrigerator, deep sink, and a coffee pot for your convenience.
Since the space is large and there are dinnerware and a few utensils provided, you could use a countertop appliance for preparing meals. A hot plate, slow cooker, or microwave is easy to fit in this space for fast and tasty meals.
While they used one end of the counter for decorations, I would use this space for a little microwave or toaster oven. It is nice that they added some decor alongside functional items like a teapot, coffee mugs, and the style all fitting of the farmhouse look you love.
One of my favorite parts of this home is that on both sides of the kitchen area you have large windows. Tons of natural light comes in through these windows, but they are also handy for when that warm Texas summer makes the space a bit too stuffy.
Wire racks on the wall hold some vintage looking plates and glasses, but you could also use baskets like this for fresh fruits and vegetables. A great way to save room in the kitchen is to use wall-mounted shelving. I love this look! Plus, it appeals to the farmhouse style for sure.
Opposite the kitchen sink and countertop is a floating table that is perfect for use as a dining table. This could also be a great temporary workspace if you work from home or need to check in with work while on a vacation.
When you step into the bathroom, you’ll be greeted by classic farmhouse shiplap and basic white fixtures, but I love the addition of a cute little wooden barn door mirror! What a unique way to bring that look into the space without adding bulky accessories.
Wire baskets are found here for storing toiletries and linens and a few fresh plants add life to this space.
A high window is nice for bringing in light but doesn’t create privacy issues in the bathroom. You can see the mirror a bit better here and isn’t it just adorable?
The owners have provided you with all of the normal toiletries needed for a comfortable weekend stay. From shampoo and conditioner to handsoap and lotions, this space is equipped with everything you could need.
The classic farmhouse style doesn’t end there. In the shower, you are greeted with wall to wall subway tile. This ode to the modern style is beautiful and oh, so easy to clean.
Back in the living area, you’ll love how the cabinet behind the sofa opens up to fold down a murphy bed that is handy and cozy for a bedroom in the studio space.
Cozy bedding makes this a great place to snuggle up for a good night’s sleep or settle in for a movie night at “home”.
This woodwork decoration on the wall is a great accent to this space, but secretly hides the television. I love that this helps you keep the farmhouse feeling of going back in time, but doesn’t keep you from enjoying modern conveniences.
A little box easily opens to show a wall-mounted television but can be shut away to keep that “off grid” feeling many look for when traveling.
The interior isn’t the only spectacular part of this tiny home destination. Step outside and you find the rustic wood siding look you love. On the side of the home is a simple wooden staircase leading up to a cozy rooftop deck.
Chairs and a table are in place for your convenience. I love the idea of settling in with a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise. You could also end the night with a nightcap and a comfy blanket to watch the stars for a romantic date at the end of the day.
While remaining tiny in size, this home really does create a beautiful setting for a big Texas adventure weekend away. With rustic farmhouse elements throughout, it appeals to those looking to visit Magnolia. It seamlessly creates a comfortable space for vacations or that weekend away you may be looking for to relax in comfort.
