Love a rustic tiny house with beautiful wood? Then you will adore the Whispering Pine.

The 18’ x 8’ home provides 144 square feet of space and is painted with an appealing mint green color on the outside. You’ll note the hitch is on one end with the doors on the side rather than an end of the home.
The home is staged for the holidays, probably a nod to its name. As you can see, it features beautiful, polished hardwood flooring, wide windows, and an incredibly roomy feel.
In order to maintain an open feel, the furnishings in the living room do need to be kept as minimal as they are here.
A ladder leads up to a small loft over the kitchen, which occupies the back wall of the house. In order to provide more shelving space than would otherwise be possible, the builder has chosen a smaller fridge and freezer. Based on my experiences with tiny living, this is arguably a smarter arrangement.
A closer look at the loft above the kitchen shows you about how much space is available to work with.
This angle also helps you figure out what you could store in the loft. It is long enough that a person could probably sleep up there, but a bit too narrow to be safe for that purpose.
Another angle shows the kitchen and while there aren’t traditional appliances, you can easily see how a hot plate or similar item would make it easy to prepare meals of all kinds here for your family.
Across from the kitchen, a second ladder leads up to another loft above the bathroom. There is where there is room for a bed.
Judging by the size of both the loft and the house overall, it seems to me that it would be most comfortable for a single occupant.
Below the loft you will notice the bathroom which includes a toilet, shower, sink, and a laundry station.
All around the bathroom is shelving, so you can store a ton of stuff in the bathroom if you need to. The narrow model of sink helps to prevent unnecessary obstruction of the tiny space. A great way to provide for needs but save space in the bathroom.
If you turn around, you can see the composting toilet next to the shower stall. With its corrugated metal walls, the shower has a stylish, rustic appearance. It looks like it could benefit from a glass wall (given that this bathroom appears to be very tiny), but you could probably use a curtain if you needed to. It does seem like it wouldn’t be quite large enough to accommodate everyone, but most people should still find it useful.
There are tons of ways you can make this smaller home work for your family and needs!
I just love that mint green color! In fact, together with the home’s clever layout and efficient use of space, the mint green siding is my favorite feature. It would stand out from other homes around it without calling too much attention to itself.
