This home has been set up as a welcoming space with that classic wood siding look that feels rustic. The interior keeps that modern rustic look that is somewhat farmhouse style but mostly modern, minimalist.
Inside the home, you are greeted by the light wood walls. The lighter stain really keeps the home feel larger and open, despite the smaller footprint. Immediately you will see the stairs to the loft include these cabinets for storage. Every part of the home was thought through to use every bit of space wisely.
The rustic look here includes the corrugated metal ceiling, shower stall, and door to the bathroom. Plus, the slightly darker more weathered wood look on some walls and cabinets gives it a bit more rustic “lived-in” feeling.
Above as a half wall on the loft are these open cubbies with baskets. This is a great addition to the space for clothing storage.
Below, in the kitchen, the right wall is entirely storage cabinets and cubbies that are open for easy access. On the left side is the kitchen countertop with the sink, storage spaces, and of course, the cooktop. Plus, open shelving on the far wall and a unique driftwood “fixture” above for holding lighting.
Another look at the cubbies on the shelves at the edge of the loft shows there is plenty of room here for baskets or just to leave open if you prefer.
In the kitchen, one wall includes these open shelves and cubbies for storage. I love how they have arranged their dinnerware here, and of course, that fun red microwave on the open shelf. You can use these spaces for food, utensils, dinnerware, or cookware storage.
This light fixture is so unique! A great way to bring the outside indoors but still give the home a custom look that is clean and sleak.
The bathroom is small but has a toilet, storage shelves, shower, and sink. This space is definitely custom built and unique with the copper pipe additions that are both functional as pipes and as storage options.
The shower includes a corrugated metal surround with a fun showerhead attached to copper pipes. It’s a great unique shower installation.
This view shows you just a bit more about the open space in the living area. The kitchen has windows with tons of sunlight shining through, and the back wall of the house has room for a little sofa or loveseat.
Upstairs, you have a loft that is semi-private, The wall of shelves is an excellent addition to give privacy and the bed is tucked against the far wall for even more privacy.
Across from this loft is the smaller bunk above the seating area downstairs. It’s not large enough for a bed but has a cushion for a little lounging space.
And here you can see how the space is laid out on the main level to create a welcoming living area with a sofa, chair, rug, and room for more if desired.
