Timbercraft Tiny Homes is quite a talented team. Previously, we’ve featured a couple of their creations, including the Blueridge and this one, which I believe is called the Ynez (at the time I posted it, it was the company’s flagship home). Since then, the company has been quite busy crafting more genius tiny houses, so let’s take a look at one of the most magnificent homes to date—the luxury “Retreat.”
It may be a tiny house, but it is certainly one of the larger ones I have seen. As you can see, the top floor extends quite a bit in the front and back to provide more loft space.
There is a large patio with room for a couple of chairs. Soft exterior lighting below the awning makes the French doors an inviting sight.
The muted natural colors work beautifully in a woodland surrounding, integrating the home with its environment.
Here is the main living area. There is enough room for a plush sofa that looks just ridiculously comfortable. A ladder leads up to the loft. Beyond it is the kitchen, which is located in its own little alcove.
Standing in the kitchen looking back toward the living room, you can really appreciate how much space is packed into this structure! Notice that there is a huge fridge and freezer along with a stove and oven. There is also a traditional flight of stairs leading to the loft on the opposite end of the home.
Notice the polished woodwork used for the ceiling, the ladders and the top of the cabinet. It all serves to unify the surroundings, giving them a homey, somewhat rustic vibe—but still with a sense of luxury, like you might expect to find at a mountain resort.
Along with all the appliances you could ever need, the kitchen provides lots of counter space and a huge sink.
The home is equipped with a spacious bathroom, complete with a full-size tub which you can comfortably sit down in. That is something you don’t see every day in tiny houses!
Here is the loft which the ladder leads up to above the kitchen. It’s an interesting space, because it wraps around one side of the home with a railing, providing quite a bit of extra floor space. Very innovative!
Here you can see the bed in the other loft, which is reached via the set of stairs across the room living room from the kitchen. This “room” has a bit more privacy, but is still connected seamlessly to the main space.
Across from the bed, there is plenty of storage in the form of a small wardrobe as well as a set of drawers and cabinets.
