A lot of tiny houses go for the whole “rustic” log cabin feel. That is something I really like, but it is not the style that everyone is looking for. Maybe you enjoy more of a modern suburban look and feel; you just want to scale back on size. If so, you will love the flagship house constructed by Timbercraft Tiny Homes.
Before I show you photos of the house, I want to take a moment to say that I find Timbercraft’s approach refreshing. If you read our posts regularly, you will probably notice there is a huge price range for tiny houses. On the lower end, there are people who have constructed tiny homes for less than $2,000. At the higher end, you can buy tiny homes which will cost you $100,000+.
So if you are going to buy a prefabricated or finished tiny house, you may wonder what a fair price is. Timbercraft’s homes will run you around $44,000. This is pretty much mid-range. But unlike most companies, Timbercraft offers an explanation of their pricing here accounting for materials and labor costs. This is wonderfully transparent.
But enough talk … let’s check out the house!
As you can see, this tiny house has a very suburban look to it in terms of the siding, trim, windows, and rooftop. Both the structure and the materials would fit perfectly in that setting. I love the high contrast between the gray siding and the dark red window trim.
If you happen to be a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, you probably have taken special notice of the red paint used on these windows. It looks very close in tone to the Cherokee Red paint that he favored throughout his structures.
The front door has some beautiful design accents.
Stepping inside, here is a shot looking back from the kitchen toward the front door. Notice the extra storage space above the door.
Here is a photo looking the other direction, toward the kitchen from the front door. You can see the ladder leading up to the loft. The light fixtures used throughout the home create warm pools of illumination which really cozy up the interior.
The storage spaces here are painted in bright colors for a contemporary look. Again, it would be easy to picture this space in any modern suburban interior.
The shower looks cramped, but it has an elegant vibe.
Here is one more photograph climbing the ladder up to the loft. Unfortunately, I could not locate any other photos taken from the loft; if you visit Timbercraft’s website (which you should), you will notice they have two main house designs in their gallery, both of which are mixed together. In the interior shots, you will see some lovely bedroom photos, but they appear to be of the other tiny house.
