The Baja surf shack is a perfect choice for the modern hippie! Solar powered, full of hidden storage, great pull out tables, and tons of windows make this a gorgeous choice that adds modern amenities with Eco-friendly features and style!

This compact but functional tiny home is a wonderful combination of modern style and solar powered energy to create a space you can relax and enjoy with zero guilt.
If minimalism and staying green are appealing, this is a style you’ll love. There are unique additions you can customize, but this version was designed with simplicity in mind.
With such small space, you would think there isn’t room for a large sofa, table, and sleep space, but this proves otherwise. One one side you have a wall of windows that open for easy access to the outdoors and a nice breeze. On the other side of this space is the sofa which doubles as a bed when needed.
There is plenty of room for the little things like a comfy rug, a few pillows, and additional chairs for friends and family. Windows added around the room make the space open and inviting. Of course, you also have recessed lighting above the sofa for reading books after dark.
One of the greatest features of this space is this easy to fold down Murphy-style table. This is a great choice for pulling up the chairs for a dinner with loved ones, or for use to sort and fold laundry, work on a work from home project, or play a game of cards.
When you are finished, just pull back in place and secure so you have the full living space open again for relaxation.
The window shade blocks out sunlight and doubles as a projector screen for late night movies. Plug up the computer and connect for a Netflix binge session or to stream a romantic classic.
This picture shows how welcoming the space is for everyone – including the family cat snuggled on a pillow!
The kitchen is small and compact with tons of extra storage. I love the deep sink that is ideal for cleanup after dinner, but also has a fun little butcher block cover that fits perfectly. This makes it easy to prepare veggies, clean items, and close off the space for more counter space when needed.
I love this dish drainer. It’s so simple and rustic, a perfect match for this space.
On the far wall, is a built in cook top with multiple burners for convenience. While this isn’t a traditional stove with cook top and oven, it’s ideal for preparing your favorite foods. The stainless steel accents of the vent hood and other appliances are ideal accents for the clean simple style.
One of the best parts of this home is the added hidden storage! Since this is a solar powered home, there are a few added nooks for housing wiring and electronics. To make that space more useful, they have included pull out storage.
There are three sections of storage that slide back into the wall to create the perfect place to store pantry supplies like canned goods and spices.
Between these storage slide outs, is tucked the perfect apartment size refrigerator. Just above this is the open cubby for additional storage. So many places here to tuck away kitchen appliances, supplies, utensils, and cookware.
While there isn’t a bed or storage shown currently, the space next to this holds the bathroom, and above, a great space for storage or an extra sleep space!
This refrigerator has a fun and unique mirrored surface that is really cool! You could, of course, add your own preferred appliances in this place.
Windows all around the space are easy to roll out for added air flow. While the surf shack is rustic and solar powered, you’ll want more air flow if on a hot beach in the summer. This makes it easy. Just open and enjoy!
As mentioned above, there is a solar station inside the kitchen. This built in unit is where the magic happens. You are able to easily use the solar panels in the best ways with just a flick of a switch.
Don’t forget the outside! One of my personal favorite parts of this tiny house is the fact that there is a s little nook outside for storage. This can be used for a number of things, but there is a great place to hold fresh cut firewood or even your surf board if needed!
