If you are longing for the Caribbean but don’t feel like going that far, step into this escape in Florida. The Lake House is a custom tiny home with a gorgeous decor theme interior and a lovely thatched roof addition that feels like you are on the islands.

The door to this tiny home is located on the end by a large comfortable deck. The deck goes right out to the path where you can park but also take a quick walk over to the lake.
I love the addition of matching teal trim around all of the windows in this home. The colors of this along with accent bedding and more really bring about that tropical feeling.
Just look at that view! All of the windows in this home feature blinds for privacy, but you’ll want to leave them and the door open to enjoy the stunning lake view, and that absolutely gorgeous sky in central Florida!
While this tiny home has a loft bedroom, you can also easily sleep another guest on this bed that serves multiple purposes in the home.
A comfortable single bed at night, stack with pillows for a couch during the day, and add baskets underneath for keeping things like games, sunscreen, toys, or books out of the way but still handy.
Check out those deep storage spaces! So easy to use for extra space, but still functional as a bed or couch. Plus, I love that the color painted on the bottom of this bed matches the paint in the other part of the home.
Turn toward the back of the house and you’ll see the small but fully functional kitchen and steps leading up to the loft.
Just check out the beautiful accents in this home! Classic white cabinets in the kitchen pop against the bright coral walls, teal towels, dark teal accent trim around windows, and even the fun chevron print on the steps!
A small TV with all of the extras is on a simple but functional storage shelf right next to the kitchen. This makes it easy to enjoy a movie while someone is cooking dinner, but also great for added storage.
These shelves can be used for food, linens, or games! Plus, the open underside of the kitchen counter space is great for using for added storage or as a simple table for one.
I love the magnetic hooks by the sink for utensils. No drawers needed here!
Opposite the kitchen sink you’ll find a simple little small apartment or dorm refrigerator and microwave. This is handy for full meals or just storing snacks for after a long day at the local amusement parks.
There is also a nice sized closet space and hanging storage above the microwave for pots and pans. Of course, the nostalgia of the frosted glass block wall between the kitchen and the bathroom appeals to me. It’s so cool and the teal wood accent is perfect to bring the room together.
Step into the bathroom for a small but comfortable space complete with large mirror, large counter space, and a stack of plush towels that perfectly fit the teal and coral theme of the home.
The light wooden vanity has extra storage for toiletries, but also offers a nice sized counter space for storing clothing, luggage, towels, and more during your stay.
The small corner shower is just what you need in this space. Check out the striped curtain that really fits into the overall Caribbean theme of the home.
When you step up into the loft bedroom, you’ll find a quiet little space for rest and relaxation. This area perfectly fits a full sized bed, but the lack of high railing makes it better for adults than the kids.
With the added window AC unit, you’ll stay comfortable no matter how warm it gets on a Florida afternoon in the summer. Plus, you have added outlets for charging electronics as needed.
If the interior isn’t enough, when you step up to this tiny house, you’ll fall in love with the cute thatched roof. This alongside wooden shutters, white trim against light blue, and a simple lattice around the home make it really feel like you are beach side in the tropics.
The star of this home is that it is located in a tiny home community ideal for vacation rentals. Just check out the view of that sky and the lake in the background! When you aren’t in Orlando at the many parks, you’ll love lounging on your deck, fishing on the lake, or grilling a favorite steak!
