An exotic vacation destination in the tiny island of Phuket is a dream come true. This stacked loft containers apartment loft is the ideal location to stay during your time on the island. With multiple layouts in this container complex, you have options to choose that will suit your needs.

I will start by mentioning that the images here showcase multiple units in this complex. Two different styling options make it easy to choose what fits your personal needs better.

Sofa against brick wall

In this converted container, the brick wall between the units is the back side of the living area. A simple sofa can be made into a single bed if desired, or used for regular daily lounging.

I love the cute little teepee and pillows for added seating more traditional to that region, but you could style your own unit with chairs or sofas.

Tables and plants add charm and function to the room with a concrete floor making it easy to cleanup.

The opposite unit backing against that brick wall uses the space for the bedroom with a few floating shelves, a simple metal framed bed, and decor accents.

Both spaces are comfortable and functional while not being cluttered. When on vacation, the lack of clutter is a great thing making it easy for you to store your belongings or make the space your own while visiting.

While these units do contain decor pieces, I love seeing the added shelving and various items on the walls that show exactly what you could do if you created the same converted shipping container home.

Lining the units with drywall and painting makes it easy to paint any color you desire. You could also add wallpaper or paneling if preferred. Of course, the drywall option makes it very simple to add floating shelves like shown below.

Shelves can be used for decor, holding books, holding movies, or even places to store food and clothing depending upon the size and strength of the shelf.

While this shipping container doesn’t have a closet space, the owners added in this simple laundry rack and basket setup for you to hang your clothing and keep track of what needs to be cleaned. This doesn’t take up a lot of space but is perfect for keeping you on track while away from home.

Little accents like pillows for seating or the stacked luggage decor make it feel comfortable and homey. You could use this area for shelving, a dresser for clothing, or even additional couches or chairs!

Of course, all homes need a little kitchen area! These units aren’t designed for a full kitchen, but they do contain the musts. An apartment sized refrigerator keeps your food cool between meals.

The rack can hold utensils, cookware, or pantry supplies. A simple counter with drawers and cabinets make it easy to hide away the clutter between meals.

This unit doesn’t have a stove, but the microwave is great for fast meals and you can easily add a toaster oven or slow cooker to the counter. With plumbing installed and a sink handy, cleanup is a breeze!

Little additions like this simple table with two stools can be used for decor like shown or as intended for a dining surface. While it’s not a large unit, there is room to include all the little things. Of course, this area has gorgeous flora and fauna, so the addition of plants and flowers is a must.

Then unit with the small kitchenette space is setup a bit differently with a futon style sofa against one wall and the large bed against the opposite side of the space.

Of course, one of the best parts of any of these units is the gorgeous large open windows. The beautiful Thailand sunshine flows in creating tons of natural light and the perfect sunrise view.

Some units include a hammock just inside those large picture windows. What a perfect place to settle in and read a book or take an afternoon nap!

This setup includes multiple units to choose from. Stack on top of each other with space between and brick walls separating the units, the builders used the shipping container shell to create a base for a fantastic loft style vacation destination.

At night, enjoy the twinkle lights strung over the lawn. A simple patio set adds chairs and a table to enjoy a little light dessert and coffee or your favorite after dinner drink.

This renovated shipping container loft rental is a comfortable choice for a vacation stay on Phuket, but also provides you with great ideas on how to plan your own shipping container renovation.
