Wind River Homes out of Chattanooga, TN makes the most darling tiny homes! One model that we can’t get enough of is their “Urban Micro Home”. It’s 650 square feet and is built on a permanent foundation but a smaller version is available that you can have shipped anywhere in the U.S.
We love the bold colors on the exterior of this house! The blue and the rich wood tones go so well together. And we like how they added character by alternating the direction of the siding and materials.
Inside, the home looks downright huge! Look at the height of this place! Notice how it’s open with a clear line of sight all the way to the back? That helps the space feel bigger than it really is. And it looks like they added a roll-up back door so you can bring the outside in by flipping a switch!
They installed floating shelves in the kitchen around an industrial stove hood. The eat-in bar adds dining space without taking up valuable space.
Here’s a view looking down at the kitchen. You can see that the kitchen and living space flow together nicely and that it’s really a large area for a tiny home! Don’t you love those hardwood floors, too?
The kitchen was done in a gray color scheme with a mix of shades to keep it interesting. There’s plenty of cabinet space and a full-sized gas cooktop and oven.
The sink has a sliding cutting board and a large faucet with sprayer. And we love the subway tile backsplash! It’s a classic look that goes with just about any style.
Clever storage was added under the stairs that still looks posh. And those aren’t cabinets! Instead, you actually pull out huge sliding drawers with levels of storage!
The living space off of the kitchen is big enough for a couch or futon and a chair.
Here’s a better look at the garage-style roll-up door. Once it’s rolled up, your living space doubles! The covered porch becomes a nice addition to the living room.
Looking back towards the kitchen you can see all the way to the front door and see how nice and open the space is.
Above the kitchen is a really cool fan that looks like a piece of art.
And the light over the door goes along with the industrial look and brings a nice warm glow.
The bedroom is a nice size for a tiny home and easily fits a large bed and even additional furniture. Keeping the colors neutral throughout the house makes everything flow together and feel larger.
Outside, the covered back porch gives you another huge sitting area to enjoy. Potted plants add a nice touch and you could even plant an herb or vegetable garden right outside your door!
We love how cozy this home is and think anyone would love to live in this tiny house!
