This house has a pleasing shape and an attractive neutral color scheme with board and batten siding and shingles in the section around the front door were contrast.
No doubt you noticed the large pair of doors on the far end of the home from the front door. Here is a closer look at those doors. They open to the bedroom, so it is possible to completely open it to the outdoors when desired. Just imagine kicking back on that comfortable bed and enjoying the fresh air. But even with the doors closed on especially hot or cold days, you can still take in the views.
There are fewer windows on the other side of the home. But this is not a bad thing. It provides for a nice balance of natural light and views on one side of the home with privacy on the other. This can be advantageous if the home is going to be located in a park with neighbors nearby.
The living room showcases the rustic yet simple style of the home with white shiplap on the walls and ceiling, a lovely wood floor, and cozy yet unassuming furnishings. Clerestory widows on the front side of the home bring in extra light from above.
This could serve as a breakfast bar or a little work desk. It perfectly complements the style of the house.
Here is a look at the kitchen with its impressively large butcher block countertops and the roomy fridge and freezer. You can also just glimpse the stovetop on the left. The sink has a high faucet, making it easy to wash dishes.
This photo also helps you appreciate how wide the front door is, and how nice and unobstructed a view it offers of the outdoors.
In this photo, you can get a better look at the 5-burner gas stove.
The pitch of the ceiling increases the open feeling of the space while overhead lights provide illumination after dark.
Here, we are looking past the kitchen toward the bedroom at the far end of the house, with the bathroom and laundry in between. It is a simple layout that makes an efficient use of the available space in the tiny house.
You can get more of a feel for what it is like in the bathroom in this shot, which shows off the beautiful vanity. There is an appreciable amount of counter space around the sink, a feature that many other tiny houses lack. It is much easier to handle your daily hygiene and grooming routine when you have this space around the sink to work with. The large, round mirror also makes it easy to see what you are doing while enhancing the sense of space.
The shower stall and the laundry area are situated side by side. Hypothetically, you could fit a washer and a dryer on the right, or you could just have one or the other, and leave the space above or below empty for your laundry basket, towels, or so forth. Once again, we are more than impressed by the economical use of space.
What is great about this home design is how it makes use of space so well without making anything feel cluttered or crowded. Everything is kept very basic, yet you get a sense of simple, effortless luxury from the whole.
Here is what it is like inside the tiny bedroom. Thanks to the large glass doors, it feels anything but small. It must be an amazing thing to wake up and go to sleep feeling so connected with the world outside your doors. The clerestory windows ensure that like the living room, the bedroom is filled with light.
Although the wood strip in the middle of the ceiling does not actually go all the way into the living room, it does provide an illusion that it does and that both spaces are directly connected.
There is extra storage space available above the bathroom which can be accessed from the bedroom.
At the time of this writing, this lovely tiny house is still for sale. But it probably will not stay on the market for long. To find out more, contact Erik Hoffacker at [email protected] .
