We’ve seen quite a lot of tiny houses and while many of them find a way to put a new twist on the movement, we’ve never seen one that’s round until we caught a glimpse of the Lexa Dome house! This 540 square foot house is built using wooden domes with arcing panels instead of the typical stick-built framing adding up to a home that resembles a beehive.
What’s really great about this type of structure is that you’re able to get soaring ceilings giving you the ability to have a 2nd or 3rd floor!
Lexa Homes uses mostly recycled materials to build their unique tiny houses which can also be used as a garage, barn, or anything else your mind can imagine.
Obviously, we think the best use is to make it an adorable tiny house like this one that’s covered in cedar shingles. The owners even added a small porch outside the front door.
If you’re wondering what kind of layout a round house would have, it’s actually quite open with two separate bedrooms and a large kitchen and living area.
If you want to learn more about these fun tiny houses, go the Lexa Dome Homes’ website at http://www.lexadomehomes.com/ and read more about their building process and you can even see pictures of some of their previous models.
