If you happen to be in Woodlawn, a trendy neighborhood in Portland, you have a chance to book a reservation at a rustic tiny house for a getaway like no other. With 1 bedroom and room for just 2 guests, this 1926 tiny home was originally constructed as a garage for a Model T! When you see the photos, “garage” is about the last thing that will enter your mind. Let’s take a look.
The tiny house is situated among fruit trees and has a quaint little sitting area outside.
Bright colors bring warmth to the exterior.
Inside, this tiny dwelling is even cozier than it looks from the outside! The bright, earthy colors continue indoors with a ladder leading up to a cozy loft and a comfortable futon underneath. And don’t you just love that quirky pointing finger sign which reads “Restroom, Cigarettes, Phone?”
Here you can get a better view of the futon as well as the small desk squeezed in along the wall.
The kitchen and dining area are adorned by cute curtains with a fall leaf design.
There is even an electric stovetop here if you want to prepare or reheat your own meals on vacation.
Turning around, here is the view back toward the door. Check out the space-saving shelves in the left-hand corner.
There is a surprising amount of space squeezed into this tiny bungalow.
The little loft has some bins off to one side which you can use for storage while you are staying here. Is it an elegant solution? No, but it works.
When you wake up in the morning, here is the view you will see peering over the edge.
For $68 per night (as of the time of this writing), you can’t go wrong. Check out this rustic tiny house at AirBnB, and think about booking an accommodation if you are going to be in Portland.
