Kanga Room Systems has designed a tiny house with a unique floorplan that’s separated by a large covered porch so you can have your own space when needed or come together! The house is just over 500 square feet and is made up of a 14’x20’ living room and kitchen side and then a 14’x16’ bedroom and bathroom side all on one level.
We think the floorplan with breezeway is a genius idea! You even have a private deck off of the living room!
This house gives you plenty of room for entertaining or enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea and your favorite book.
The breezeway is spacious enough for a large dining table or you could make it an outdoor living room with comfy couches and chairs.
We love the wood on the ceiling of the breezeway and how it pops off of the gray siding and beams.
A laundry room is one the far end of the house with room for stackable units. You could always add a covered porch off the closet as well.
Inside, the house has wood paneling and large windows so the space is light and bright despite all of the wood.
The living room has room for a couch that can be pulled out into a bed for guests and chairs plus side tables.
The living room flows into the kitchen for a nice open floorplan which is great while entertaining or even when you’re cooking for your family.
Right off of the kitchen is a dining area for when the weather doesn’t permit outside eating. We like the stacked windows that add character to the corner.
The kitchen is large and gives you plenty of room to move around while cooking and preparing meals.
It’s fully equipped with a stove and oven, full-size refrigerator, and tons of cabinet space.
A multi-compartment stainless-steel sink is below the window in the middle of the butcher block countertops.
On the other side of the breezeway are the bathroom and bedroom. The bedroom is spacious with room for a bed and extra furniture.
This house is built and designed for entertaining and relaxing and we think the floorplan is great! If you have plans to build your own tiny house, see if you can work in a breezeway to add another “room” to your home.
