Now and again there is a tiny house which just takes off on social media. One which recently went viral was this one constructed in Farmville by Evans Custom Builders, Inc. Since being posted in July of this year, it has received more than 116,000 shares and more than 29,000 comments. Let’s find out what everyone is talking about!
Part of the charm of this tiny house is its suburban appeal. In many respects, it just looks like a smaller version of the exact same types of homes which grace most suburban streets. It would fit right into most neighborhoods. You have got to love that adorable porch with the address on one of the supports—so homey!
Stepping inside, you can get a look at the kitchen and the general layout for this part of the house. While connected to the living room, the kitchen is partially partitioned off by the stairs, making it its own little nook. The stairs themselves open up to reveal storage compartments.
The pitched ceiling adds so much space to the living area!
This view helps you see how it all fits together. I also really like that the loft is partially open, but partially screened off. Like the kitchen, it is connected to the flow of space, but it offers a degree of privacy and seclusion.
From this outdoor perspective, you can see the side of the building and the lovely screened-in porch. It’s a surprise you don’t see screened-in porches like these more often with tiny houses. They extend the livable space, but keep out bugs and provide some protection from the weather. This would also be perfect for a cat-owner!
Here you can see the other side of the house. I’d like to mention that the steep pitch of the roof is great for letting snow or rain slide off to the ground.
Here is the view from inside the screened-in porch. I would love to kick back here with a glass of lemonade for a few hours!
Stepping back inside, the kitchen has a full-size fridge and freezer and an oven and stovetop.
Can you believe all that counter space?
Here is the washer-dryer unit. There’s nothing this tiny house doesn’t have!
Of course we’ve got to check out the loft.
And now for one of my favorite parts of the whole house … the bathroom.
There is a standard flushing toilet, and that shower … that shower is nothing short of breathtaking. The circular design maximizes the space inside, and it just looks cool.
So … if you’ve been searching for the perfect tiny house, this might just be the one! A lot of Facebook fans have fallen head over heels for it, so hopefully that will mean a lot of business for Evans Custom Builders Inc. Note the word “custom” in the company’s name. If you want a duplicate of this house or something similar for yourself, they’ll doubtless be up for the challenge. Visit them on Facebook here!
