Connecticut is known for their large estate homes that cost millions of dollars but we’ve found a tiny house in Madison that breaks the mold. This 400 square foot home sits on a gorgeous lot in the seaside community along the shoreline and was recently renovated.
Originally built in 1943, it was renovated to create a taller ceiling giving the home a more spacious feel and space for a loft. The floor plan is pretty open with the living area and kitchen all in one large area. The living room is off to one side with room for chairs and bookcases while the kitchen is on the opposite side with a small dining table in between.
The kitchen has full-sized appliances with plenty of storage space available in the cabinets. You also have a desk area between the coat closet and kitchen.
We love the exposed beams in the home and the architectural appeal they add without being overwhelming.
A small bedroom is downstairs with room for a full-sized bed and a night table.
There’s also a bathroom with a shower/tub combo, flushable toilet, and a sink tucked in the corner.
If you’re feeling cramped inside, you can always come out back to this gorgeous and private yard with a large patio!
Unfortunately, this home isn’t on the market right now but Zillow estimates it being listed at $288,000 which is crazy cheap for the area! Keep an eye out in case it comes up for sale again here: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/70-Wildcat-Rd-Madison-CT-06443/2142112210_zpid/.
