There are some really amazing tiny houses for sale these days at amazingly low prices. Today I want to share one with you which is up for sale in Portland for $59,000.
With the large round window in the back and the set of smaller rounded rectangular windows along the side, this home has a decidedly nautical feel to it. The light blue siding is evocative of the ocean.
The layout inside the 160 square foot home is much the same as it is in most tiny houses. Past a small living area is a kitchen, and upstairs there are a couple of lofts.
The kitchen features almost no counter when the sink is uncovered. Thankfully, you can pull the cover over top of the sink and use it for your chopping, mixing and other food preparation tasks. On the left is an oven and a four-burner stovetop, while a full-size fridge and freezer are on the right.
On the left, you see a washing machine underneath the stairs leading up to the main loft. The rest of the space under the stairs has been divided into cubbies and drawers for storage. You can also see the bathroom at the other end of the home.
The bathroom has a very modern look and feel.
The light and dark blue tones play well off of each other. The mirror conceals a medicine cabinet.
The shower looks pretty spacious, and it has a luxurious removable showerhead and even a small tub.
Next to the sink is a composting toilet.
Here is what the main loft looks like without a bed in it.
And here is what it looks like with a queen-sized bed and some décor. You can see here that there are actually two sets of small round-ish windows, one on either side of the bed. This allows light to stream through from one side of the loft to the other, and offers views to either side as well.
A twin-sized bed fits in the other loft, or you can utilize it as a storage space instead.
