If you like an Old West look and feel and are looking for your rustic tiny dream home, you will love The Ranch House by Incredible Tiny Homes.
This little house weighs only 13,440 pounds and measures 8’ x 28’. That’s 224 square feet!
The distinguishing feature of the exterior is doubtless the contrast between the darker wood siding and the lighter wood trim.
This effect is particularly satisfying at the back of the home where the light trim accents a number of compartments.
It’s just a gorgeous house to look at!
While it is called The Ranch House, I have no trouble seeing it in any Old West context for some reason. I mean, you can almost imagine it looking at home parked on an Old West street.
It is wonderfully rustic and instantly atmospheric.
Let’s go inside!
This appears to be the main living area, with a loft up above. While the room is empty of furnishings right now, that leaves the mind free to imagine all the possibilities.
There you can see the loft.
Across the home is another loft with the bathroom below it, sectioned off from the kitchen by a wall and a sliding barn door. The kitchen sink and counter are on the right and the stairs are on the left.
All the wood in this home is positively stunning.
There are drawers and cabinets built into the steps to offer a ton of storage.
The old-fashioned handles fit in perfectly with the overall look of the house.
The colors and grain of the wood are their own decoration.
You could fit so many items under the steps.
An apartment-size fridge and freezer are in the home along with a convenient shelf over top.
Here is a glimpse of the bathroom.
The kitchen sink is already installed, awaiting only a set of cabinets and a mirror.
There is lots of room next to the flush toilet, and what looks like a spacious shower.
… And we aren’t disappointed at all. In fact, it is even bigger than I was picturing, and comes complete with a bathtub! That is just awesome!
I did not guess what is most amazing about this picture until I scrolled to the next. Focus your attention on the narrow gap between the shower and the kitchen beyond. It is easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it.
Ah-hah! A full set of floor-to-ceiling shelves! They aren’t very wide, but they are super deep! You could get a lot of towels stowed away in them, and you could keep bathroom supplies you need to use often in front of those so that they are within easy reach.
The oven and cooktop with four burners are all ready to go. They await only a chef who is excited to get cooking in a beautiful tiny kitchen.
The house is very simple and very rustic, and that is its charm.
I’d feel like I had gone back in time to simpler days living here.
While there is storage that you can access from the side, you can also access some compartments from the tops of the steps, as you will see the next image.
The smaller top compartments are easy to reach and ensure that no space under the steps goes to waste.
You can take items in and out of the step storage on your way up to the loft or back.
The ceiling panels are so gorgeous!
What a spot to fall asleep each night and wake up each morning. Overhead lights bring full illumination to the loft when the sun sets.
The large square window in back would offer an enviable view if you found a lovely spot to put the house.
Clerestory windows like these preserve privacy while bringing tons of light into the interior of the home.
The ceiling fan circulates the air during the summer, conserving energy.
