Hummingbird Housing has designed some magical tiny house models. One which provides you with all the comfort you could ask for in a 40’ profile is the Luxury 40, called simply the “Lux 40” for short. Let’s take a look.
There are quite a few design details which stand out before we even step inside the Lux 40. An arch window and Lluminary European style windows are beautiful to behold whether you are inside or outside the home, and the metal gussets featured in the overhang above the porch are custom-designed.
The overhang provides shelter from the weather and shade from the sun on the way in through the front door.
You really get a feel for how deep that overhang is here. While there isn’t a porch installed, it would be perfect for one.
This image gives you the best overview of the interior layout. The main living space features a cozy electric leather recliner couch (very fitting with the “Lux” name).
In the kitchen, there is a stainless steel sink measuring 33 inches, a gas stove, a wine cooler, a fridge and freezer, and a microwave.
An electric fireplace provides a hearty glow. It all serves as the central feature of the home, providing a place for family and friends to sit and enjoy one another’s company.
The way the wood in this house has been stained is one of its most unique features. That teal color has been extremely popular in home design and décor over recent years, so I’m not surprised to see it here. You may have noticed that other décor elements throughout the home repeat this same teal shade.
In fact, the teal (more aqua here) color is showcased beautifully in the bathroom, which itself is enchanting. It’s in the towel, the basket on top of the cabinet, the mosaic, and even in the chandelier over the stunning tub. In the kitchen, you may have noticed it in the towels as well as the carpet.
At the moment, the electric hearth is even on a blue setting to match. Overhead, mirrors help to give the illusion of a larger space.
I’m sure you were wanting a closer look at the unique mosaic in the bathroom. Creative decorative touches like these really add character to a house.
While we’re at it, here is another look at the bathroom. I really am blown away here—this is one luxurious room! Note more blue elements—the carpet and even the soap bottles are color-coordinated. I absolutely love this sort of attention to detail!
It appears that this tiny home includes a full-size bedroom instead of just a loft—yet more luxury.
So much storage—and once again, completely customized to the color scheme of the house.
