Personally, I’ve always loved houses with brightly-colored siding, especially if it is a cheery, summery shade which makes me think of sunshine and beachside vacations. Such is certainly the case with the bright aqua siding on the Charlestonian Dream, a tiny house which was recently listed for sale.
The listing unfortunately is no longer available, so I assume that the house has sold. But we can still take a look around …
While the color of the siding is quite vibrant, it isn’t glaring in any way. It’s a pretty soft color, almost a pastel.
The bright colors of flowers under the windows show up beautifully against the aqua color of the siding.
The interior of the tiny house also features bright, inviting colors. The wood floor and ceiling in particular have been finished with a tone which is almost orangey. The decor is simple but pleasing to the eye.
In the kitchen, there is a full-size fridge and freezer, and oven and stove, a microwave, and a deep sink with a high faucet. The microwave particularly stands out with its bright red color. That and the small oven standing all by itself almost put one in mind of a child’s play kitchen, giving the room an almost whimsical vibe.
The wood countertop is a real treat to behold. Along with kitchen appliances, the house also includes a laundry room.
There is serious storage space underneath the steps leading up to the loft. It looks like there is enough room in those closets for coats and jackets. The blue paint on the closet doors draws the eye much in the manner of the red microwave. Once again, the impression you get is fun and playful.
Here you can see one of the two lofts. The shells and starfish ornamenting the loft helped to further instill thoughts and feelings of summer.
Looking out across the room, we can see the other loft and the catwalk which connects them. One would not be able to walk upright on the catwalk, but it is still a convenient feature, and could be used for storage space.
The bold blue color of the wall mirrors the same blue shade which is used for the closet door underneath the steps.
An aqua blue pillow with summery flower patterns fits well with the overall theme of the house.
The same beachy theme continues in the bathroom, which is a particularly delightful space.
A small porch offers room to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Judging by the palm tree in this photo, the house is currently situated in a climate which is fitting with its summery vibes.
The listing page for the Charlestonian Dream no longer exists, so somebody is happily living in this beautiful tiny house.
