Cabinscape is a unique company that rents out fully furnished and stocked tiny houses in Ontario that are immersed in nature letting you escape to wilderness without the hassle of setting up camp. One of their models is the Auburn tiny house which is a rustic and spacious home that’s off-grid and can sleep up to four guests. Rates start at $126 for the night or $850 for the week.
The exterior of the home is wrapped in knotty wood with metal accents and tons of windows to enjoy your private view of the surrounding woods. A small deck is attached to the side of the home giving you a place to sit outside and listen to nature while having a cup of coffee in the morning.
Inside, the home is quite spacious with tall ceilings and wide rooms completely open to one another. The walls were kept natural while gray hardwood floors add contrast. The kitchen is on one end of the home with a large sleeping loft above it accessed by a ladder. There’s also plenty of natural light that comes through the windows and sliding glass doors.
The kitchen is airy with open storage both on top and below the butcher block countertops. A mini-fridge and cooktop are available as are your kitchen utensils for cooking during your stay.
The living room features a built-in bench on one side of the room with a long bar across from it for dining. The second loft and bathroom are on the other end of the home with a sliding barn door and ladder giving access to them.
One of our favorite features is the garage-style window that spreads the length of the eat-in bar and raises up to open the home up to nature.
The lofts are both spacious with low-profile mattresses and tons of natural light that comes in through the wide windows. Glass partitions add safety while keeping the line of sight open across the house.
One of the best features of the Auburn is actually found outside of its walls, a gorgeous lake is down from the tiny house giving guests a tranquil surrounding during their vacation.
