We’ve shared some of 84 Lumber’s work with you before but recently we found two of their models that are similar enough to make you see double – if it weren’t for the colors! The Red Shonsie is a 206 square foot home with (you guessed it) red accents throughout the home while the Blue Shonsie is a 206 square foot home with blue accents throughout the home. And in case you thought we were referring to the décor only, we’re not! Color comes into play everywhere from the roof to the floor of each home. Let’s take a look at these homes room-by-room to compare.
Both homes have charming front porches with metal roofs and wood siding. Exposed rafters peek out from underneath the roof adding architectural appeal to the exteriors.
Inside, the homes have bright epoxy floors that are painted in their respective accent colors throughout the home for an ultra-bright pop of color against the white walls.
The homes have a small built-in bench across from a small dining table with a pop-up table and storage underneath the seats.
The kitchen is along one side of the home with a long countertop and large cabinets below. A small electric cooktop is on the end and two large windows let in plenty of light to keep the space bright.
The loft in each home is reached by a ladder and has plenty of headroom due to the pitched ceiling and lots of natural light from the multiple windows. Lights are also attached to the walls eliminating the need for tables.
Back downstairs, sliding barn doors close off the bathrooms or the closets depending on where they’re resting. The Red Shonsie has an aqua door while the Blue Shonsie has a stained wood door.
As you can see, each home is equally adorable and has a lot to offer tiny house lovers! It’s all up to you, so which do you prefer? Red or blue?
