The owners of Maximus Extreme Living Solutions call their designs “Tiny Homes on Steroids” because they’re dedicated to using the most effective and efficient construction technology and techniques available which is exactly what they did when they built The Reagan, a craftsman-style tiny house specifically designed to be pet-friendly and energy-efficient. The home was constructed with SIPs for superior insulation and given beautiful craftsman detailing on the exterior with thick molding and shingles.
The Reagan was built onto a 31-foot triple-axel gooseneck trailer making it the largest tiny house that the company had made up until this point. It also gave them plenty of room to add a porch onto the back of the trailer that was completely enclosed to be pet-friendly and is accessible by the pets through a pet door.
Heavy trim, crisp lines, and beautiful woodwork are all elements that you find in Craftsman homes and they’re all found in this tiny house.
The same quality of work is found inside the home as well with large beams that cross the ceiling and handmade wood accents throughout the home.
The home’s front door is a traditional Craftsman style door with a small grid of windows at the top and long panels below. As you step into the home, you see that it’s mostly white drywall throughout the interior with wood accents to add warmth and contrast.
Tall ceilings make the home feel spacious while high windows let natural light fill the rooms. A sliding barn door is just inside the entry leading to the bathroom and laundry area.
The bathroom sink is built into a nook with a custom cabinet below for storage.
The toilet was given a blue night light above it making it easy to locate in the middle of the night.
Back in the main area, you have the kitchen spread across the main wall with access to the loft available by a moveable ladder that hooks to a bar over the kitchen sink.
The kitchen is compact but fully functional with a mini-fridge, stove, oven, and stainless steel sink. There are also cabinets to store your kitchen utensils and room to install open shelving over the countertop.
The main bedroom is accessed by a storage staircase that has cubbies in the bottom steps.
The staircase leads you over the gooseneck of the trailer to the master bedroom which has tons of room with a fairly tall ceiling.
