This tiny little home packs a lot of punch in a small footprint. At only 22 feet long, The Rook by Wind River Tiny Homes delivers every upgrade and amenity you could possibly dream of for a tiny home! It definitely proves that you can’t judge a book by its cover because we never expected such luxury!
Wind River Tiny Homes is based out of Chattanooga, TN and they’ve developed gorgeous tiny homes since starting a business. We love the design on The Rook and how it looks like a tough shelter but has plenty of charm at the same time.
When you step inside you may be a bit overwhelmed at what you see! The gorgeous wood floors, the exposed brick walls, and the metal and wood floating shelves are all exquisite in detail!
By keeping everything open, you can truly appreciate the exposed beams and the wood construction of the furniture and storage.
The kitchen has a concrete countertop and sink with floating shelves and exposed beams. It’s inherently masculine and yet I could live comfortably there!
To save space, a gas cooktop was installed without an oven. Minimalistic shelves and ledges are on the walls and you have closed storage below the counters.
On the other side of the kitchen bar, they built in swing-out stools for the dining space. They can be tucked away when not needed and look pretty neat!
They constructed a custom desk and work area that can be folded away when it’s not in use. The open shelves and metal bars go along with the look of the rest of the tiny home while still providing functional storage.
Built-in storage on the end of the home gives you a place to store clothes, shoes, and anything else that you need a place for. You could also put a cushion on the bench and make it a nice reading nook under the big window.
Here’s a view from the kitchen looking back towards the door and living area. You can see how it all flows together and that you do have a little bit of space to put some furniture.
They chose to put in a dutch door so you can close the lower part and still let plenty of air and sunshine come in the top!
Surely by now you’ve noticed those floating wooden steps? That’s the ladder to the loft! You better not try to stumble up those things after a glass of wine but they sure do look incredible!
Upstairs in the loft, you have a slightly pitched roof and tons of windows. They installed some storage for you and there’s plenty of space for a queen-sized bed.
Feeling stuffy? Just open up your windows and let some air in!
The bathroom is another masterful area in this tiny home. There are a nice-sized toilet and a shower stall with industrial elements to add character.
And here’s something you don’t see too much of in tiny homes: extra storage and a laundry room! You have tons of cabinets and shelves and a full-sized washer! That’s truly an incredible surprise!
This tiny home is really remarkable and luxurious. We’ve never seen one that’s so rustic and yet high-end. If you’re a man in need of a home to travel in and yet you don’t want to skimp on the finer things in life, you should definitely look into the Rook!
