Previously Jola Josie brought us on a tour around Luane’s Housetruck. Now we have the privilege to have a look at Luane’s art studio that she built herself.
The studio and her garden that is located just below the studio, is surrounded by a fence that keeps out the grazing sheep. This fence was all made from tree cuttings in the area.
As you step into the studio it is an open plan space. To your left there is a fireplace to keep warm during the cold winters in the hills over looking Golden Bay, New Zealand.
Straight ahead is the guest bed, which is raised high above the floor, giving it more view through the windows and storage in the room for her paintings. Around the bed there are details such as moss and large pieces of sliced timber. To the right there is her art equipment and large windows show casing the ever-changing scenery. The stunning views are often her inspiration in many of her paintings.
Last but not least is a beautiful scene above your head, – the roof. It has a porthole that has a carving in a sun-like shape around it.
