Zen Cottages in Encinitas, California has a mission to live in freedom and they want others to be a part of it by joining their tiny house community. They work with people to design and build their perfect home and one of those creations is the Zen Cottage.
This unique house is 8.5 feet wide and comes in 20 to 32 feet lengths. The builders work with buyers to completely customize their tiny houses with all of the upgrades and specifications they want to design their idea home.
The Zen cottage has beautiful wood siding with metal accents. And all of their homes are RIVA certified so they’re ready to hit the road whenever you are!
We think this is a tiny house that’s ready for anything! Want to chill on the deck? Go hiking? Go on a road trip? It’s down for all of it!
This house has custom shades that connect to exterior poles to provide cool shade in the desert or wherever you find yourself.
Inside, simplicity is displayed in its finest form. The open floor plan makes the house feel huge and gives you room for everything you need. We love the light wood accents against the light walls!
The living area has room for a futon couch and the charming alcove has a comfy mattress that can be used as a couch during the day and a cozy bed at night! The curtain even gives you privacy so you can sleep in peace.
Don’t you want to just curl up in this cubby?
The kitchen has tons of space and everything that you need to make meals.
You have a huge double sink, loads of closed cabinets for storage, a gas cooktop, and space for a microwave or toaster oven.
A long staircase leads to the loft above the kitchen. Although it takes up more space, we like that this isn’t a crazy steep staircase like you find in most tiny houses!
Upstairs, the loft has enough room to squeeze in a mattress and while the ceilings are pretty low, the long windows let in fresh air so you don’t feel stuffy.
Downstairs, the bathroom has a huge shower and tub combo plus a pretty sink area. We like the wood ceilings, too!
We really love what Zen Cottages is doing to promote the tiny house movement! If you want to learn more about their community and how you can be a part of it, go to https://www.zentinyhomes.com/.
