The talented builders at Liberation Tiny Homes out of Lancaster County, PA believe that every person should be able to design, build, and live in their own homes without becoming enslaved to debt. This belief fuels their passion for building incredible custom tiny homes like the Big Blue. This beauty is built on a 28-foot-long trailer and with everything shown in these pictures, it will cost you $56,500 to begin living tiny.
This home was named “Big Blue” for a good reason! The bold blue siding stands out from the crowd and the wood accent stripe keeps it from looking like too plain.
One of the best features of this house are the high-end finishes that truly make the home look classy and polished like the subway tile backsplash and oversized stainless-steel farmhouse sink surrounded by butcher block countertops.
The colors and finishes chosen for the Big Blue are definitely on-trend with today’s hottest designers. White walls with dark wood trim and hardwood floors make the home feel bright and fresh.
Another great feature of this tiny house is the tub and shower combo that was put in the bathroom. The large tub is surrounded by more subway tile with a dark wood trim making it a beautiful setting to soak in.
The bathroom also has a custom sink cabinet that was cut on an angle to save floor space. A square sink sits on top of the wooden countertops and a flushable toilet is squeezed into the corner.
Upstairs, the loft is spacious with room for a king-sized bed and storage furniture. However, you may not need extra furniture since a unique storage wall was designed that gives you room for books and clothes while looking like art.
Another storage cabinet functions as a divider and barrier on the edge of the loft.
The Big Blue was given some of the widest planks we’ve ever seen on a floor which adds a unique touch throughout the main floor. Open shelving in the kitchen keeps the room from feeling too closed in while still giving your storage space.
A small dining table extends out from the kitchen cabinets and it can also serve as prep space for meals if needed.
A chrome Hunter fan was added to keep the home cool during warmer seasons and it can also circulate heat by switching the setting during cool seasons.
The home’s living room is a gracious size and gives you enough room for an L-shaped couch and small tables. Windows on all sides of the walls give the room plenty of natural light and let fresh air flow through when opened.
A small desk area is just outside the bathroom and gives you plenty of desktop space for a computer and work area. You also have three drawers for supplies and two outlets both on top and below.
One of the reasons this home feels so airy and bright is because an open staircase was chosen instead of a storage option. While you don’t have the extra storage space, you’re able to see through the steps giving extra visibility.
We love the modern look of this home and the bright pop of color it adds to the roads it travels down! If you’re as impressed as we are, you can see even more pictures at https://www.big-blue.liberationtinyhomes.com/.
