M.A.DI. is a new tiny house concept out of Italy that puts a new twist on living tiny while remaining mobile. For those that don’t necessarily want their house to be on wheels, this tiny house actually unfolds when you get to where you’re going! It takes about 6 hours to set up and once complete it can be anywere from 290 to 760 square feet based on which options you choose. The smallest model costs about $31,000.
To get an idea of how the setup goes, take a look at this collage showing one of these homes being unfolded. You obviously need some heavy machinery, but it’s still much quicker than building a typical structure and it can be folded back up whenever you want to move!
The tiny house drew a crowd at its recent expo where guests were able to tour a model and watch one being set up.
Inside, the home is somewhat open to the elements with slat siding. However, you could always hang coverings on the wall for privacy.
A staircase leads up to the loft and even has a handrail for safety and assistance.
The loft upstairs gives you tons of room for sleeping quarters and it’s also a pretty spot to look outside and enjoy the view.
Once fully assembled, these tiny houses are earthquake-resistant and can be finished and furnished for temporary or permanent housing.
Here’s an example of what a M.A.DI. tiny house can look like once fully constructed.
This concept has endless possibilities and we think it’s inspiring to see a company being so innovative and creating feasible and economical housing solutions. If you want to learn more about M.A.DI. and the concept behind the unique tiny house, go to https://www.madihome.com/copia-di-
