Stewart Mountain Lodging just outside the famous Sundance resort village in Colorado specializes in providing top-level service to their guests who come from all over to stay in their luxurious tiny houses. The Storybook Stone Cottage is one of the many properties to choose from and it’s truly magical! It’s 900 square feet of pure charm that sleeps up to five guests and rents for $425 a night.
This adorable cottage is tucked underneath huge pines and sits right by a bubbling stream so you can relax and unwind while taking in the beautiful nature around you. This property is unique as it actually has two buildings. The main house sleeps 2-4 and the “Bird House” is just over the bridge and sleeps 1-2 more guests.
The main tiny house has everything you could possibly need for a great vacation including a gourmet kitchen, heated stone floors, and a beautiful stone fireplace.
The kitchen is a cook’s dream with a Viking range and oven, Subzero refrigerator, and all of the extra appliances you can think of including a juicer, microwave, and blender. The custom cabinets and stone tile floor make the kitchen a delight to spend time in. After you’re finished making your gourmet meal, enjoy it in the dining area with seating for four.
The cottage has three beds, two in the loft and one downstairs off of the incredible living room.
The beds have the softest linens possible so you’ll have a hard time convincing yourself to leave your pillow with the sound of the stream just outside cottage lulling you to sleep.
We love how cozy this room looks with the curtains that you can draw for extra privacy.
The other loft bedroom has an Aztec theme and a large cozy bed.
The bathroom has a custom tile shower and everything else you need in a shared bathroom.
If you do get out of bed, there’s a huge hot tub waiting for you outside next to the water and surrounded by the beautiful trees. The deck has twinkling lights so you can enjoy it in the evenings as well as a heater and grill.
Just over the bridge is the cute “Bird House”. The house looks over the stream and has a winding staircase leading up to the glowing tiny house.
The Bird House doesn’t have a bathroom but it does have a cozy room complete with a trundle bed upstairs in the loft. This is the perfect spot to nap in privacy away from the noise!
If you’re going to be around the Sundance area, this is a great place to stay being just a five-minute walk to the festival area and with plenty of activities nearby.
