SimBLISSity Tiny Homes of Lyons, Colorado specialize in designing and building gorgeous custom tiny houses and one of their latest models caught our eye with its bright blue exterior. The “Blue Sapphire” is a 204 square foot house built on a 24-foot trailer with a captivating blue metal roof and siding and gray-washed wood accents.
Inside the home, a multi-hued hardwood floor warms up the icy blue walls and makes the house feel cozy and pulled together. Also helping with warmth is a small fireplace built between the living room and kitchen that heats the whole home and gives a nice glow. The living room features an L-shaped couch and a small dining table with a storage loft above.
The couch gives plenty of room for guests and can even serve as a bed for one or two. The dining table can be folded down when not in use so you have a clear view of the fireplace and kitchen.
In the kitchen, tons of storage space is given with multiple drawers and cabinets and open cubbies on each side of the room. A full-sized gas cooktop and oven are next to a graphite sink with stainless steel hardware. All of it is pulled together with the gray and earth-tone backsplash which lines the long wooden countertop.
On the other side of the kitchen, open cubbies are built into the staircase as well as spaces for the washing machines, a pantry, and full-sized refrigerator.
A bathroom is found at the back of the home and the owners chose a composting toilet with a shower to match the sapphire blue roof.
Upstairs, a large loft gives you room for a comfy bed plus room for storage and to move around in. Three windows let in natural light and fresh air so the room won’t get stuffy.
The Blue Sapphire is quite the beauty and definitely shows off the talent of the creative and innovative builders behind it.
