Cali Cottages out of Santa Ana, California specializes in building adorable “cottages” or tiny homes for their customers. While they can design a fully customized home, they always offer three models which are ready to be purchased at any time and delivered to your door! We covered the Hillcrest model before, now we’re going to show you the Summerfield model which comes in three sizes: 240 square feet for $38,995; 275 square feet for $45,995; 310 square feet for $49,995.
The exterior of the house comes standard with premium wood paneling, large dual pane windows, and composite asphalt roof panels. We love the way the windows swing open and we also like the colors chosen for this particular model although they can be changed to suit your tastes.
This model makes the most use of the interior space by adding a loft above the kitchen and bathroom leaving the main floor open for living space.
Just inside the doors is a large and open living area with plenty of room for a full-sized couch or futon. The model comes with premium vinyl wood flooring throughout the home which is great for durability and ties the spaces together nicely.
The large windows and French doors make the living room a bright area. This model is set up with two seating areas but you can easily swap one of them out for a TV entertainment system instead.
A large storage case with frosted sliding doors is against one wall of the living area and gives you sleek looking storage with tons of space. Next to the storage case is a tall metal ladder that leads upstairs to the loft area which is large enough for a mattress and storage cubbies.
The kitchen is large thanks to the loft bedroom and gives you everything you could need in a kitchen including a refrigerator, cooktop, custom cabinets, butcher block countertops, and open shelving. Dining space is provided at the stainless steel table which can also be used for meal prepping when slid up to the counter. Track lighting illuminates the wood beams and
also shines down on the innovative storage wall with racks and hooks for pans and utensils.
The bathroom is located just off the kitchen and has a custom vanity area with a glass shelf for toiletries as well as a storage tower next to the sink. You also have a shower stall and traditional toilet.
