Dany and Lonie are co-owners of two salon/spas, two insurance agencies, and a property company so it’s no wonder that this couple needed to simplify life a little! With the help of Tiny House Nation, they designed a tiny Victorian house that met their must-have list including a bedroom large enough for a king-sized bed, a large entertaining area, and a standing desk and office area.
The end result is this precious 600 square foot home that is perfect for the entrepreneurial and social couple.
Inside, the home has a spacious kitchen with dark cabinets and white countertops. A large farmhouse sink is the crown jewel of the kitchen and you also have a refrigerator and stove/oven. Spiraling stairs are just off the kitchen and lead the way to a large multi-purpose loft.
The loft was left ambiguous so it can be used for whatever purpose is needed at the time. It can serve as a guest room, lounge area, or even for work by simply rearranging furniture.
The master bedroom is truly grand with shiplap walls, sliding barn doors, and rustic hardwood floors. There’s definitely enough room for a king-sized bed and the closet serves as the must-have standing office.
The large entertainment area was accomplished in the outdoor space by designing a custom wrap-around bench that can be folded out to transform into an even larger table.
There’s also a gorgeous green cabinet that conceals a mimosa bar! The whole space is perfect for hosting the couple’s “brunch bunch”.
The couple loves their tiny house so much that they have plans to build one in all of their favorite cities! If you want to see more about the custom home and just how they fit a fully-functional office into a closet, check out http://www.fyi.tv/shows/tiny-house-nation/season-3/episode-9.
