In our great search for tiny homes, we came across a truly luxurious tiny house in Oregon designed by Nir Pearlson Architect. At 800 square feet, the house isn’t technically considered “tiny” but we think it still captures the heart behind the movement with its thoughtful layout and features.
The exterior of the home has naturally dyed plaster in a bold green color that screams for your attention without being obnoxious. Timber and exposed wood add warmth to the home and tone down the green shade for a balanced look.
Inside, the home has a spacious feeling thanks to an abundance of windows and skylights. Natural light floods in to highlight the warm wood accent throughout the home. A wood burning stove is just inside the main entrance and it provides heat to the entire home.
The living room opens up to the spacious kitchen with exposed beams crossing the ceiling of both areas. A long bar divides the room and gives you a place to dine at.
The kitchen has a plethora of cabinets and drawers to store all of your kitchen utensils and pantry items. You also have full-sized appliances and tons of natural light to keep the area bright while you cook.
The living room has a built-in bench in front of the window with a small desk area and storage drawers below the cushions. It’s even large enough to double as a guest bed for smaller guests.
On the opposite side of the living room are double frosted doors which lead to a study with a loft that can be used for guests.
The crown jewel of the home may be the bathroom which is extremely luxurious by any standard! Featuring a glass tiled shower and large custom sink vanity, this bathroom makes you feel like you stepped into a spa!
The shower is oversized with a long bench and plenty of space to move around in in comparison to most showers in tiny houses.
The master bedroom is also impressive with tons of space and natural light. You can add just about any kind of furniture that you’d like to and you even have a private door to the deck.
This home gives you the space to enjoy the great outdoors on an expansive deck should you get tired of being indoors.
