Maybe you’re one of the many people that wonder if a tiny house can really work for a large family. Well, the Big Country by VIVA Collectiv is here to show you that it definitely can! While it only has 300 square feet, it’s so well-designed that you have a main floor bedroom as well as two lofts connected by a catwalk! We think this is the perfect house-on-wheels for a family and we have a feeling you’ll agree too!
Before we even step inside to gawk over the interior space, we have to acknowledge that the exterior is pretty impressive too! Wrapped in stained wood siding with pale green accents, the home feels warm and welcoming as you step up to the double glass doors with barn-style lights on either side.
Inside, the country feeling continues with white shiplap walls, barn lighting, and sliding barn doors. The home is open with soaring ceilings and wide windows that fill the entire space with light. Dark hardwood floors and a tongue and groove ceiling adds warmth to home as does the stove tucked at the end of the kitchen counter.
The kitchen is a galley-style with white cabinets along the wall and a full-sized oven and refrigerator at the end. You have deep drawers and cabinets as well as a gorgeous farmhouse sink. This is a kitchen that can take care of a family!
Across from the kitchen is a dining table that can be expanded to accommodate more guests. White stools are tucked below to save floor space and a pretty fruit basket hangs above it.
The bathroom is also impressive with reclaimed wood walls, tiled floor, and a massive soaking tub! There’s even room for a wide vanity and stackable washer and dryer machines.
The main floor bedroom is nearly the size of a traditional room with space for a full-sized bed, dresser, and built-in cabinets. Several windows surround the bedroom making it bright and allowing you to let fresh air breeze through.
Upstairs, two large bedrooms are connected by a long catwalk making it great for younger family members to connect. Each room has its own skylight as well as wide windows. The rooms are large enough to have full-sized beds as well as storage furniture along the walls.
We think any child or teenager would be thrilled with a bedroom that looks like this!
