Cozy and Stylish Tiny House by Park Model Homes {Video House Tour}

Published: Jun 23, 2019 · Modified: Jun 9, 2020 by itiny · This post may contain affiliate links ·

Whenever Park Model Homes comes out with a new tiny house, it is always such a treat. This is a company that has really been pushing the envelope in terms of how much comfort and space can fit inside a tiny footprint.

Their newest creation is the “2020 model.” Let’s go ahead and take the tour!

Video house tour:

If you have checked out other houses by Park Model Homes, you’ll recognize some of their trademark features break from this first photo. In particular, your eyes are probably drawn to the beautiful large windows at one end of the house.

Cozy and Stylish Tiny House
The first interior photo of the home I was sent with this one of the kitchen. And no wonder—it is a great introduction to what this home has to offer! The word “spacious” here would be an understatement. This kitchen more than rivals those in larger full-size homes. The standout feature is of course the angled countertop/bar.

Storage shelves underneath staircases are a common feature in tiny houses, but rarely have I seen such a feature executed with such style.

You really can appreciate from the angle of this photo how truly roomy the kitchen sink is. It is the smart design of the counter (doubling as the bar, as shown previously) which provides enough space for this large farmhouse sink.

Venturing upstairs, we find ourselves in the loft. The relatively open structure of the railing ensures that the space feels integrated into the whole, roomy, well-lit, and open.

Another shot of the kitchen shows us a different point of view, putting emphasis on the large window above the farmhouse sink, and also giving us a better look at the kitchen cabinets, the oven on the left, and the four-burner cooktop.

Situated above the cooktop is a large microwave, with more cabinet space on top of that. The fridge and freezer are located across the way, along with substantial pantry space. Between the two, you can spy the staircase leading up to the loft.

The ceiling of the home features some beautiful architectural elements which really helped to establish the overall character of the interior.

This bar actually provides more space for eating than a lot of actual tables that I’ve seen in other tiny houses.

Here, at last, is a look at the main living space across from the kitchen. You can get an even better appreciation of the ceiling and how it complements the dark trim ornamenting the walls.

This is a look which Park Model Homes has been using a lot. I really like it, because to me it is very balanced. A lot of tiny house designers go for the “all white” (or another light color) walls to make a space feel open—but without anything breaking up that space, to me, it often feels oppressive, with all the walls and ceiling “bleeding together.”

The dark trim which Park Model Homes uses prevents this from happening, while maintaining that open look which you get with “all white.” Furthermore, it pulls the gaze to the beautiful shapes comprising the home’s architecture. It decorates the space without overwhelming it. Instead of distracting the eye, it draws it to the very lines which make the structure so elegant.

I also have come to really appreciate these neutral color schemes Park Model Homes has been using. They offer an environment which can complement any color scheme which the home’s new owner would like to bring into it. Of course, the company can also build a home from scratch with any color scheme that a prospective homeowner chooses. In both cases, it is all about personalization.

The bathroom has some nice surprises. Above the sink there are three mirrors at angles to one another, each with an individual light over top. Most tiny houses do not have room for features like these, or were designed by builders who do not think to take advantage of the corner in this way.

Cozy and Stylish Tiny House
It is impossible to overemphasize how beautiful that ceiling is, or how elegant the room is from this angle.

Cozy and Stylish Tiny House
Just look at all that open for space! You could easily leave it as is, since you have pretty much all the furnishings you could need in the home already. But if there were something you wanted to add to the living space, you certainly could.

The curtains and cozy seats help to keep this space feeling warm and homey, even with the somewhat austere color scheme.

When the drapes are pulled aside, you get to enjoy the views out of those huge windows.

Cozy and Stylish Tiny House
The amount of sunlight which can filter in through all of those windows is phenomenal.

Heading back to the bathroom, here is another of the home’s lovely surprises. The shower looks to be very roomy indeed, able to accommodate anyone no matter their size. The glass walls and door have an elegant appearance and are easy to maintain.

Cozy and Stylish Tiny House
The view looking down from the loft makes it even more obvious just how much counter space there is in the kitchen, and also does well to illustrate how much open floor space remains even with all the furnishings in place.
