Tiny Home Features
- Despite being a ‘tiny shell home’, you still get some appliances, such as the propane furnace, cooktop, lights, etc.
- The $15K price tag slapped on this one makes it a super affordable investment option. Furnish it, AirBnb it out and watch the passive income roll in.
- If you’d rather live from town to town instead of setting up shop, the wheels make it easily towable across the country.
- 6 windows ensure you get adequate light and passive insulation throughout the tiny home.
While a couple of finishing touches are needed on the inside, the exterior looks absolutely beautiful, with 5+ windows ensuring adequate airflow and light flows throughout the home.
While advertised as a barebones setup, you still get a few features once you take a look inside. The LED lights set a moody ambiance, bathing all 16 square feet of the tiny shell home.
To the right is a seating area which can be replaced with a 2-seater couch. The wall in front of it can be used for a TV, but is a bit further than we’d like. This makes the wall space just beside the kitchenette a better option.
Being a shell home, you get a shell kitchen, with only the propane cooktop and the sink to speak of. The lack of cabinets is made up for by the storage rack beside it, but it’s a much better choice to build a new one altogether.
To the left is the area large enough for a queen size bed and a storage loft above it. If the living room area isn’t cutting it for you, you can lower the loft for more room and fit in a mattress there. This way, the lower area opens up for you to be able to add a larger living room or even a bathroom as the home lacks one.
To summarize, the home’s features and nearly empty layout set the stage for a DIY setup. As long as you can arrange for a bathroom either by expanding, going for portable versions or parking in a campground, it’s really difficult to not recommend this one.
