We love hearing of people jumping on the tiny house bandwagon and starting a new life, but what we love even more is coming across people that are still living tiny years down the road! Beth of Sausalito, California is one of those people.
She’s been living in her eclectic and ever-evolving tiny house for over three years now and has no plans of leaving the 365 square foot home.
Beth’s tiny house looks like something out of a dream on the outside with its surrounding gardens and quaint architecture.
A shell chandelier blows in the wind and tables and chairs are set up throughout the yard for guests to come and stay for a while.
A small porch is off the front of the home with full flower boxes and a cozy chair to enjoy a cup of coffee in the quiet mornings.
Stepping inside, you’ll see that the interior is just as charming as the exterior thanks to Beth’s background in design. She says that her home is constantly changing so that she keeps the excitement fresh.
We love this current evolution of the home with mostly gray walls and the occasional pop of color either on an accent wall or in the décor.
A short wall in the living room serves as a display wall for art and mementos with a clear bookcase standing at the end and a bright modern chair sitting in front of them.
The living room is the epitome of cozy with a fluffy white couch and billowing curtains in front of the large windows.
Slim tables provide a place to rest a book or glass without being too bulky for the room and art on the walls brings in color but can easily be changed to suit Beth’s mood.
One of our favorite things about this tiny house is how bright it is! We love the large windows that let natural light stream in.
A large cabinet is tucked behind the door giving a spot for the TV and other mementos.
More seating is off of the living room as well as a TV cabinet which Beth transformed into a bar!
Repurposing furniture is a great way to save space in smaller homes.
A small kitchen is around the corner from the living room and Beth made sure that it was fully capable of preparing meals since she entertains guests regularly.
A vintage oven is next to the refrigerator and the long counters give her a great place to prep meals.
Dishes and small kitchen utensils are stored on a wire rack organizer on the back of the kitchen which she managed to make look adorable with crates and vintage cookbooks.
The home’s bathroom is spacious with a great tub and shower combo and sinks vanity. The owner decided to add some fun to the room by painted wide stripes on the walls which match the tiled floor.
Shelves were installed next to the sink to add more storage in the bathroom.
The master bedroom is off of the living room and it features a bright teal accent wall with a comfy queen-sized bed and more of Beth’s great art and décor.
Another large window next to the bed looks out to one of the dining tables in the garden.
