The Woodman’s Treehouse is an absolutely incredible tiny house built up in the trees of a huge oak in West Dorset, England. It’s available to rent as the ultimate luxurious experience surrounded by nature. The setting is magical and often described as “Utopia” by visitors who come to stay in the home built by local craftsmen and furniture makers.
The home is surprisingly refined for a treehouse with unique construction and high-end appliances and finishes. A large pier boardwalk leads you to the house through the canopy of trees and you walk into an open floorplan with a rotating fireplace in the center of it all. The rotating base lets you direct the fire towards any area in the house that you choose.
The center of the home serves as the living room with leather furniture and tables scattered around the round room. The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen all extend off of the rotunda.
The kitchen is subtle with the same wood on the cabinets that wraps the house. You have a compact oven and cooktop as well as a sink that looks out into the thick treetops surrounding the home.
The bathroom is the pinnacle of luxury in the tiny house and features a copper slipper tub with a massive picture window looking out at the oak trees. The floor of the bathroom even has a glass bottom so you can see down to the stream below.
The toilet and sink are in a separate room with wood ends that match the exterior of the house. The treehouse has total plumbing so it’s a traditional flushing toilet.
The bedroom holds a king-sized bed and looks up to a large skylight. Wood trunks serve as nightstands and you also have built-in book shelves in a nook on the side of the bed.
Out on the porch, you can see the copper tub through the large window so it’s definitely not for the shy! Although you can rest easy knowing that the home is very private with no one close enough to peep at you. A spiral staircase leads you up to a separate deck featuring another oasis…
An outdoor shower and swaying hammock wait for you on the top deck. It’s the perfect experience in nature!
