Unique Home Stays is a company in Cornwall that specializes in promoting (what else?) unique properties for rent or sale. One of their featured listings is the Nomad Hut & Cottage which is a home made up of two buildings, the hut and cottage, connected by a tunnel. The hut is actually two gypsy wagons containing the bedroom and the bathroom while the cottage contains an updated 17th-century kitchen and it all feels like a hobbit home with rounded ceilings and rolling hillsides.
The gypsy wagons are 12 feet long and were the original inspiration for this unique property.
A secret tunnel connects the wagons to the cottage and is lined with sheepskin.
Inside the bedroom is a large king-sized bed and a small dressing area. You also have storage below the bed for clothing and personal items.
The bathroom is in the adjacent wagon and has a gorgeous cast iron slipper tub with a beautiful view of the countryside.
The kitchen is a truly 17th-century kitchen that’s been updated. It still has a large wood burning stove but also has a double gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and a refrigerator for modern convenience.
A cozy living room is off of the kitchen with a huge stone fireplace and comfy chairs to sit in while enjoying the fire.
Part of the intrigue of the Nomad is the gorgeous outdoors that surrounds it and so the owners took advantage of that by adding a cozy outdoor living area complete with a hot tub.
We love how magical the Nomad feels and appreciate the extra dose of whimsy it adds to a vacation.
