Zach Both is a 23-year-old filmmaker with a passion for creativity and traveling to pursue his art. In order to truly give himself over to his pursuit for filmmaking, he knew he needed complete freedom to go where the story took him and so he converted a boring cargo van off of Craigslist into a tiny house that also functions as a mobile studio and then he did what comes naturally to him: he told the world about it on his blog called The Vanual.
The inside of the van has chalkboard window coverings for his work sketches, a stained wood ceiling, and a large bed. But there’s more to the tiny house than meets the eye! The van actually uses solar panels to power a mini-fridge, wifi network, and a home theater system!
The beautiful wood on the ceiling and furniture was salvaged from a 19th-century church in Cleveland, Ohio.
The furniture next to the bed serves multiple functions including a revealing a mini-kitchen with magnetic spice storage and a propane cooktop.
The same area can also function as a desk for Zach to work. And with the windows open you have a great view of the beautiful scenery.
The bed take up roughly half of the van and is surrounded by windows. We definitely wouldn’t mind waking up to that view!
The large bed can also be used as a couch by propping up the back making it perfect for guests or working.
