I am a big fan of tiny houses, and I especially love the really unusual ones. I also happen to love anything that looks historical, so naturally I just fell head over heels for this tiny house that looks like a medieval tower! Just wait until you see the interior!
The “Old Tower” is actually a small converted stable. It’s located in the Umbrian and Tuscan countryside and is surrounded by the beauty of nature. The tower offers a breathtaking view of the nearby Lake Trasimeno.
The abandoned stable is located in a small village called Sanguineto. The village was named for a battle fought in 217 BC between Carthage and Rome. Today it is a wonderful living example of history, preserved in the form of traditional farming techniques and beautiful old structures.
Despite the antiquated look of the tower, it has all the modern amenities, including propane-powered central heat, electricity, a fully-functional kitchenette, and a swimming pool. Let’s step inside!

With the timber frame ceiling, medieval-style light fixture, and rustic décor, you feel like you’ve traveled back in time.

Let’s head upstairs! Here you can get a look at the bedroom. As you can see, it is actually quite spacious thanks to the high ceiling. There is plenty of floor space too. You wouldn’t expect that inside a tiny tower.
