Jeremy Matlock lives in beautiful Colorado and was recently bit by the tiny living “bug” so in 2014 he started building his first tiny house which he called The Clearstory. The 270-square foot house was his home for two years and then he decided it was time for his next build so he sold the Clearstory for $29,000.
The home has a total of eleven windows and a rooftop balcony so you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and to let natural light flood the home.
The inside of the home is a mixture of white walls and knotty wood accents. Sconces were added throughout the home to provide light in the evenings.
Jeremy custom made all of the furniture and cabinets in his home to fit his needs and the space available. His mom even made custom cushions for all of his seating areas and pillows to match!
The home is heated by a large furnace in the living room which is tucked next to a tall pantry cabinet under the staircase to the loft. The loft access is a combination of a ladder and steps which also serves as extra seating and storage.
The loft features a hatch door that reveals a room big enough for a full-sized bed. The windows can be closed with curtains and blinds for privacy and then raised when you want fresh air.
Our favorite feature of Jeremy’s tiny house is definitely the rooftop balcony. You can see for miles from this point of view!
