There are a number of these cottages at the gardens, situated in quiet, wooded sites.
To save space and to make cottages feel as roomy as possible, layouts, where the kitchen and bedroom flow one into the next, are utilized. The kitchen features a gas range and oven, a fridge and freezer, a coffee pot, and a selection of fair trade coffee, cream and sugar. There are also dishes and glasses so that you do not need to bring anything with you to cook and eat your own food. If you want to cook outside, there is a charcoal grill out there along with a fire ring.
At 600 ft.², these cottages do stretch the definition of “tiny” a bit, but they are still small enough to qualify. What makes them eco-friendly? Features such as energy-efficient LED lights, geothermal heat and air conditioning, and spray foam insulation make these cottages friendly to the environment. So does their small size, and the materials they were constructed from, which are local in origin.
The porch of each cottage is screened off so that you will not be overwhelmed with insects during your stay.
Along with the king-size bed, there is also a pull-out sleeper sofa. All linens and pillows are included, along with towels to use in the bathroom.
The bathroom features a comfortable shower with a curtain, a regular flush toilet, and an artistic vessel sink. Wood panels on the walls keep the ambiance rustic.
