Alexis Stephens and Christian Parsons fell in love and did what many couples do: dream about their ideal home. When they started envisioning what it would look like though, they became fascinated with the tiny house movement and decided they would make it their life’s mission.
After building their own tiny home, they took it on the road to film the documentary called Tiny House Expedition to share their love of tiny homes and adventure. They traveled all over the U.S. and Canada and found that decluttering their lives also decluttered their mind. Take a look at the life they’ve built.
The couple built their home on a mobile trailer so they could easily take it on the road.
They completely built the home on their own so they could customize every square inch to fit their needs.
While it’s only 130 square feet, they packed in a lot of living space and functionality complete with soft couches and a fold-out table.
Open shelves, hooks, and cubbies gave the couple as much storage space as possible without feeling too cluttered.
Every piece of wood in the home was salvaged adding to the character of the incredible tiny home.
I love the tones in the kitchen counters! They’re tiny pieces of art.
The master bedroom is complete with a queen-sized bed while the loft has a sleeping nook for Stephen’s son to sleep in when he visits. The pitched roof makes it feel a lot bigger than it really is!
The bathroom has a composting toilet and built in storage and a shower stall.
We love how the couple even included a porch swing to relax on and enjoy a cup of tea wherever the road may lead you!
