Chad Kuntz is a Washington-based architect who designs high-end apartments and homes for Seattle residents. After designing several small spaces for his clients, he decided it was time to build his own tiny house. The Tipsy Tiny House is an 180 square foot tiny house on wheels that features high-tech amenities such as a digital in-wall bar, surround stereo system, LED fireplace, and a flat screen SMART TV. One of the most noticeable features of the home, though, is that it’s completely wrapped in gorgeous reclaimed wood!
Chad rents the Tipsy out on both Airbnb and HomeAway and it has quickly become a popular rental on both sites. Spending a few days in the Tipsy is a great way to “try out” tiny living before making the leap yourself!
Inside, the home continues the reclaimed wood theme throughout and definitely has a masculine feel to the whole home, although we think the ladies can appreciate the beauty of the Tipsy as well!
The kitchen may be tiny but it has everything you need to prepare a meal including an electric cooktop and butcher block countertops.
The living area features a custom sitting area with a futon couch tucked between the sink and desk area.
The entertainment wall features the SMART TV and LED fireplace as well as the controls for the surround stereo system.
A desk area is tucked into an alcove next to the front door and features a beautiful custom wood top with a great view of the outside through the large window.
The LED fireplace is definitely something you don’t see in many tiny houses but the Tipsy is proud to have it!
The loft is reached by the ladder just before the kitchen and is a cozy nook for a large bed. But don’t worry, you won’t feel closed in thanks to the huge skylight that gives you an impressive view of the stars!
If you’ve been considering building your own tiny house, you should definitely plan a trip to Seattle and spend a few nights in the Tipsy to see what you think!
