The outside is painted warm tones including the traditional rusted red that you often see on barns in the country. We like the wide planks and trimmed windows and all the charm that they bring to the exterior of this home.
Inside, you’re greeted by the warmth that only wood can bring. The ceilings are a bright and rich shade while the floors are a darker tone associated with reclaimed wood. Most of the walls were kept lighter and natural so the walls don’t feel cramped.
The kitchen has large drawers and cabinets as well as a built-in microwave and cooktop (under the vegetable basket). You also have a large refrigerator just before the entrance to the bathroom behind the sliding barn door.
Inside the bathroom, you have a small composting toilet, sink area, and a shower stall.
In the living room, there’s room for a small couch and table with built-in storage that can be used for seating as well.
In the staircase leading up to the loft, there’s a clever slide-out table that can be unfolded and then tucked away when not needed.
Upstairs in the main loft, a large bed is set up with plenty of light and fresh air thanks to the windows and skylight.
A smaller mattress is in the second loft which also has tons of natural light. Both lofts have plenty of headroom thanks to the pitched roof.
