The floors are hardwood and the walls are pine and wainscott. The kitchen features an apartment-size fridge and a full-size range along with polished granite countertops and open shelves.
That glossy countertop is just gorgeous! The glass cover for the range provides a seamless, reflective effect so that the surface appears entirely smooth.
The shape of the kitchen sink is unusual, but makes sense when you stop to think about it. The reason that the basin on the left is larger with a curved convex side is because it can be. There is no need for a faucet to be on that side, so why waste the space? The builder has opted to make it available to you to wash your dishes with greater ease rather than making the back of the sink go straight across as it does on the right.
This view shows you the second of the home’s two lofts. You can just make out the bed beyond the low railing. On the right, the stacked washer and dryer almost blend into the backdrop, and are easy to miss if you are not looking for them. A sliding door beyond leads to the bathroom.
The stone slabs surrounding the fireplace give this part of the home a feel that is at once rustic and luxurious.
