I’ve recently spotted a new tiny house making rounds developed by a company called Tiny Life Supply. The “Blue House” is impossible to miss. It grabs the eye instantly with its unique and unusual exterior. You can see at a glance why it is getting so many shares:
Below, you can take a video tour of the home:
The siding, painted in distinctive alternating hues of blue, green, and neutral grays (I think—perhaps that is brown) is locally milled cedar. This compact home measures only 171 square feet. But it fits a lot of features and comfort into that tiny profile.
The layout of the home places the loft above the kitchen. While the kitchen has a lower ceiling as a result, it is scaled to human size, not cramped. This also means that the loft is roomier than it would be otherwise.
Indeed, the loft measures 8.5’ x 10’, while the main floors spans 9.5’ x 18’. Natural light illuminates the interior by day, while the 1060W solar array powers the dimmable LED lights after sundown, as well as the other electrical devices throughout the home.
This house boasts not one, but two, heat sources. There is a Dickinson propane heater as well as a Cubic Grizzly Wood Stove.
In the kitchen there is a mini fridge and a range oven. The bathroom features a small shower and a composting toilet. With these appliances, you have all you need for full-time tiny living.
It looks like the spaces underneath the custom steps could be used for storage. There is shelving built in throughout the home to keep the main space as free and open as possible.
Interested in owning the Blue House? You can purchase it for just $50,000 CAD. Visit the listing at Tiny Life Supply, and scroll down to the gray button which says “Get In Touch” to make this 171-square-foot tiny house your own!
