We’ve shared plenty of Modern Tiny Living models with you before so when they release what they describe as the “perfect combination of design, livability, and price” we knew we had to share it with you. The Kokosing is a gorgeous 256 square foot tiny house on a 24-foot trailer full of amenities and features and it starts at $79,000.
The exterior of the home is Nantucket-inspired with a pretty blue shade of wood siding, white trim, and a metal roof. It really is pretty from every side!
Inside, the home has gorgeous Acacia wood floors, navy cabinets, and white shiplap walls. The layout is designed to maximize the space and make the home feel larger than it really is.
The living area is in the front of the home and it has one of the best designs that we’ve seen in a tiny house! A platform raises the room and gives space for storage below the floor. A small loft if above the room for storage and the design of the room lets the walls be wrapped in windows allowing natural light to flood in.
The cabinets in the front give a place to store books and mementos and the step leading to the platform also has storage inside in addition to the large area below the platform floor.
Take a look at this incredible couch! It wraps around the room giving tons of seating for guests. Large drawers are beneath the benches for storage and a TV is mounted to the wall so you don’t have to worry about a table for it.
The couch can be converted into a massive sleeping area by pulling out the side benches and rearranging the cushions.
A small bench sits in front of the window between the kitchen and living area with a storage area hidden beneath the hinged lid.
The kitchen is just as phenomenal as the living room if you can believe it. Navy cabinets add a rich pop of color to the home and stainless steel appliances are its crowning glory. The white quartz countertop shines against the navy and the marble backsplash adds contrast with distraction. It’s simply beautiful!
The kitchen is not only pretty, it’s also well-equipped with a cooktop, full-sized refrigerator, and toaster oven. A washer and dryer machine is built into the end of the counter and blends well with the rest of the appliances.
A home this immaculate demands a farmhouse sink and so a large one was placed in front of the window with a commercial faucet. You also have tons of storage in the custom cabinets.
Across from the kitchen is a small dining table that folds flat against the wall when not in use. Navy folding stools give two guests the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and then they can easily be stored out of the way.
The bathroom is at the back of the home behind a sliding barn door and it features a slim wall-mounted sink, composting toilet, and a full-sized shower stall.
Open shelving was added above the toilet for soaps and towels and it’s made out of the same wood that’s found throughout the home for continuity.
As with any tiny house, storage was crucial and so the staircase leading to the loft has cubbies and cabinets to store personal items and hanging clothes.
The steps leading to the loft are wide and have a handrail making it easy to access the sleeping area.
Upstairs is a queen-sized loft with tons of natural light coming in through multiple wide windows. You have space for nightstands and outlets are at both ends of the room.
We have to admit that this tiny house is pretty close to perfection!
